13 month comparison pictures

Recently I'm beginning to think that Parker and Avery are starting to look more alike. I enjoy going back and looking at pictures of things Parker did at the same stage Avery is in, how they look alike or different, facial expressions, activities, etc. I thought I'd post for my own records a few pictures of them both at 13 months old.

Both loved swinging at 13 months old. He's definitely chunkier at this age but I think their eyes and noses look alike. Check out his legs compared to hers. She's my full term peanut and he's my preemie chunky monkey!

Close up of their smiling faces.
Technically, these pictures are both of them at 11 months BUT they're both Easter pictures which still makes for a good comparison.
13 month old profiles. Definitely the same precious button nose!
1st birthday cake smash!
Hilton Head Island at Harbour Town (Parker is 15 months and Avery is 13 months in these pictures)

I could go on and on! I'll try to make this a more regular post. I know I'll love looking back on comparison posts like this when the kids are older. These are such precious ages!

Do you think the kids look alike? Just the nose or is there something more?

Family Pictures- Beach Edition!

We did it! ... Kinda.... we got a "I think this is probably the best we're gonna get at this stage of our life" family picture! If you follow the blog, you know a family picture of the 4 of us has been the bane of my existence for at least a year. Parker hates pictures. Avery usually has her hands in her mouth. Daniel's eyes look everywhere except the camera.... and I am usually smiling away oblivious to the chaos around me.

We were in Hilton Head Island this past week on vacation which gave us lots of opportunities for pretty outfits, stunning backgrounds and a silly nana to jump up and down calling the kids names. Don't get me wrong... we got our fair share of typical Wise Family photos but here are all of our family picture attempts... good, bad, ugly... and as awesome as it's gonna get for now....

Woody was in all of last year's family photos... Mario made an appearance in some of this years!
This is SO good of Parker! But Avery isn't looking and Daniel's eyes are looking at something else.

I like to call this photo "black sheep".... Daniel didn't get the memo. Well he did.... he just didn't like the dress code. At least his top and bottom were a coordinating set... le sigh. Men.
Classic Wise Family photo haha

The laminated duck picture also made a few appearances in family photos. Avery has come to love those duck pictures as well and really wants the one her brother is holding!

Pretty good... kids aren't smiling but cute nonetheless!

Almost a framer!

Frame worthy!

Oh Parker.... he's timing out on us! BUT... how cute does Avery look!?!

Parker looks like he's napping on Daniel's shoulders haha

Even though Parker isn't looking, I still like this one.

Parker looks less than thrilled but its still sweet.
The best group shot!

And although not a whole family photo, this one still makes my heart happy!
Much more beach pictures to come but I had to share our latest family photo treasures!

Bring on Summer!

Today was a blast! It was the first day that really felt like summer to me. We got up and went to our friend's neighborhood pool. Most of the usual play group was there and it felt like "old times" but with a whole second group of kids! Last year, Avery was the only baby for most of the summer and even then, she slept in the stroller or wagon most of the time we were at the pool. This year.... is VERY different! The 3 year olds are now pretty easy and self sufficient in the water with puddle jumpers which frees up our eyes a bit to be on top of the busy 1 year olds/babies!

The babies want to be in the baby pool with the fountains and graduated entrance and the 3 year olds want to be in the "big water" as Parker calls it. Thankfully, we all believe it takes a village so we divide and conquer.... and hire teenagers.

Parker and Logan were excited to see one another

I actually think with his hat on, they kinda look like twins

The puddle jumper gang
Avery kept her hat on for 1 minute... a new record! I'm aiming for 1:30 next time! haha
Umm... well.... how's that feel Parker?

Sweet boy playing in the fountains
I am SO blessed with these friends. Anna, Amber and Brandi (and many more) have been amazing friends to my kids and I. We LOVE summer days spent at the pool and running through sprinklers in the backyard! Bring on the summer, ripe watermelon and shriveled pool toes!

Neighborhood Toddler Play Date

On Tuesday, we were invited to our 1st toddler play date in our new neighborhood. At the HOA meeting, I signed up for the toddler play group and we finally set one up. I already knew all of the kids and moms from Bunco and the pool but it was fun to get the kids together. The host, Abby, is super mom and always has a beautiful spread with table clothes and yummy food. She set the bar high... UGH.... gotta step up my game! ;)

The kids enjoyed playing in the slip n slide, water table, sand box and lady bug sprinkler.

Big Avery, Isabella, Jonathan, Parker and Julia's twin brother (ekkk... I forgot his name!)

Hailey was monitoring Parker who was standing on her lady bug sprinkler. Boys just don't play like girls!

We love our new neighborhood and are enjoying making new friends!
