Today I attempted a fall photoshoot with Parker. It was not quite as successful as I was hoping. First, it's winter... not fall. It looks like fall... but don't be fooled... it was probably child abuse that I didn't have Parker in a hat and parka. (sorry buddy!) Second, he was WAY more interested in playing on the swing set but that was just not the look I was going for. Third, I stepped in dog poop in my nice black flats. Bummer. I guess that's what I get for just doing the pics in the backyard instead of some nice photo-worthy site.
That was all kinda negative... hold tight for the exciting part of my day.
Here are the best of the shots I got. Regardless... he's so stinkin' cute they could be blurry and dark and they'd still be adorable!
Parker and I had the pleasure of playing with Miss Lily today so she got in on the photoshoot too. Unlike Parker, she was well behaved and I got lots of good ones of her! Here's my favorite of her.
How cute is she? OMG I want one. WAIT... I'm getting one! AHHH..... are you catching on?
We're having a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!! We found out this week and I'm seriously through the moon! My mind is racing with all things pink that it literally hurts. Today I made a trip (alone!) to Hobby Lobby and managed to only spend $30 which I believe is a record. I purchased material to cover her car seat. No, she cannot have a normal Chicco. It must be boutique looking and lovely. Just because I can. It's going to be A-DOR-ABLE! I also got infant headbands and a bow making instructional manual. If you know me well enough, you know my little girl WILL wear a bow EVERYDAY. Maybe even to bed.... and if she refuses to.... I will hot glue it to her head. Well not really but this is a battle I WILL choose and I WILL win. Period.
Lastly, I jammed out to some Christmas music today in the car. LOVED it! I'm ready. Bring on the holidays... the weather sure has caught the hint! BRR!

Digital Camera Dump!
What to write about today.... well nothing is going to top the LAST post (we're pregnant! AHH!) sooo.... My gymboree shopping trip (love gymbucks!)? My killer deal on khaki maternity cords (brands new at a consignment shop!)? My son ruining a pile of clothes with bleach (I was spot cleaning and he dumped it out on a pile of darks! UGH!)? What about how my DVR is on hyper drive? Thursday night TV is the BEST!!!! The Office, Bones, The Vampire Diaries, Project Runway, On the Road with Austin and Santino, Private Practice, CSI! WHEW. It takes us many nights to go through it all but ALL of our shows except Dexter and Modern Family are on Thursdays!
Boring. I'm in a rut. Everything seems so frivolous after our big exciting news!
How about some cute pictures?
Here are Brooklyn and Parker at Hunter Farms kissing.
We were trying to get their attention by cheering but since they're both little mimics, they just did it right back at us!
I actually bought this outfit specifically for pumpkin picking. ha ha
How about a random bath tub pic? Those are always winners!
Too cute... wanna see more? Yes, of course you do.
He loves bath time and I just think they are the cutest pictures! I have a whole album to embarrass him with later in life. His future wife will appreciate them one day! What's next? How about more pictures that chronicle the relationship/love between baby and Parker? We recently picked up Baby #2 as a backup. Once was supposed to stay in the crib and the other in the car but now he just has to have both of them. My husband is jealous that he gets to sleep with 2 chicks.
Kissing baby!
Hugs for his girls!
Well, the washing machine just buzzed. Time to check the bleach damage! THANKFULLY... it was ONLY clothes! All replaceable! Have a great night!

We're pregnant!!!!
...well, I'm pregnant but for some reason the correct phrase is "we're pregnant." I suppose my husband did participate in the creation of this little kidney bean so he should get some credit. ;) EVEN though (side tracking here) when we went for the 2nd ultrasound, the doctor told us when the baby was due and when we conceived... which happened to magically be when I was in Myrtle Beach with my girlfriends! ha ha. I did share a sofa bed with Beth AND Amy so we may need to do a paternity test.
In all seriousness though.... we are thrilled! Parker and Baby Wise #2 will be 25 1/2 months apart as long as this little booger is full term! He/she SURELY better be! No more preemies in this house Pa-Lease! This baby is due May 14th according to the doctors BUT after my own calculations of when my husband and I were actually in the same state (not much in August!... don't get any ideas, people!) this baby is ACTUALLY due May 7th. That's 2 days after Parker's due date of May 5th! I guess I know what time of the year to avoid in the future if I'm done after 2!
Let me tell you something. When people say every pregnancy is different, I thought they had just forgotten about their 1st one. WRONG. Holy Guacamole. I felt like a million bucks with Parker and with this one, I'm doing good to get out of the house before 1pm, showered, fed and keeping said food down. After about 1, I'm jazzed and ready to tackle my task but from about 7 1/2 weeks up til now, I'm just pukey! I know this will go away but I KINDA don't mind it. It makes this pregnancy seem so real... and normal! I pray it just means the baby is growing and healthy! OR maybe since this pregnancy is so different, it's a girl? Yes? maybe?
I'm planning to blog this pregnancy BUT not on this blog. I wasn't the world's best baby book keeper so I'm planning to blog this baby's baby book instead (this sentence has a lot of B's). Once a year I plan to have it printed by Shutterfly or Snapfish. Won't that be a sweet memento! SO, if you want to follow the pregnancy, you'll need to "follow" my baby blog. I'm sure I'll discuss tidbits on here BUT this is more of my whole family and personal blog. The baby blog is written to the baby so it's my personal thoughts, feelings and hopes for him/her plus pregnancy milestones. I hope you enjoy following along with us if you choose to!

The Baby Doll Controversy
Meet Baby
Parker chose Baby out of ALL the stuffed animals and soft toys that could be lovies in the WHOLE store! (Even if she needs one of those helmets for misshaped head) Right at 17 months, separation anxiety set in and guess what/who is Parker's current lovie... ME! He has never cared for anything when he's sad except me which has GOT to change! I LOVE my cuddle time with him but I can't always be there. And thus.. the hunt for a lovie. I was told letting him pick his lovie was the way to go so to the store we went and purchased Baby. How's it working you ask? See for yourself...
He LOVES her! Parker cuddles her on his chest like I do with him.
He carries her around by her head
Sometimes he tries to pull her eyelashes off BUT he has gotten very good at pointing out body parts!
They enjoy watching football together
And Saturday afternoon naps are better together!
Isn't that precious? Well I think so too BUT apparently this baby is highly controversial. Yes, he is a boy with a pink doll but he picked it. Most of his friends are girls and dolls are simply what he knows to be lovies. I think it's developmentally normal and am so excited he finally has something he enjoys for comfort. Yesterday at Harris Teeter 2 people stopped me to tell me that my son needed a dinosaur stuffed animal instead of a doll. We also got a lot of stares even though he was perfectly quiet, sitting in the cart, kissing his baby. Don't you think I'd RATHER him choose a dinosaur? BUT if that doesn't say comfort to him... than a pink doll it is! I suppose they aren't the ones listening to him cry at night when he has nightmares so I shouldn't take the opinions to heart but it does amaze me how random people feel it's appropriate voice their opinions on my son's doll.
How could anyone take this away?
So proudly and unashamed, I introduce baby... the newest addition to the list of things I must remember to put in the diaper bag!
